Piper PA-12 & PA-18 Super Cub Experimental Mods

Having worked on many Pipers, we have designed several modifications for the Piper PA-12 & PA-18 Super Cubs. While our IO-390 Conversion & Toe Brakes are STC-approved, these modifications are for experimental use only. Please contact us for additional details & pricing.

PA-12 & PA-18 - Upgraded Cabin Heating System + Defrost

Factory Cub cabin heating systems are notorious for "cooking" the pilots feet while leaving the balance of the cockpit freezing.  Meanwhile, the windshield fogs up.  These problems are addressed with our cabin heating system to keep both the pilot and passenger safe and comfortable.

This system comes with all the parts necessary to deliver heat where it is needed most.  The system contains a vent to control heat directly to the pilot as well as a second vent to direct heat to the passenger.  Each vent can be opened and closed independently of one another for total control of incoming air.  As an option, vents can be installed on the glareshield to supply air to the windshield for defrosting.

PA-12 & PA-18 - Under passenger seat storage compartment

Utilize the wasted space under the rear seat by converting it to a storage compartment.  Also comes with an optional battery installation. Convert the wasted space under the rear passenger seat to a storage compartment.  Constructed out of aluminum.

Optional lightweight battery installation in underseat storage compartment - Offers a nice conspicuous spot for the battery installation.  Comes with an FAA/PMA approved lightweight battery and battery hold-down bracket.
